Our continued success means we currently have positions for Dual Site Technicians to operate from our Peterborough and Dunstable/Milton Keynes depots.

Key Purpose of the Job:

To support our main dealer sites by carrying out servicing / small repairs / diagnosis, Engine and Gearbox Servicing and replacement of Wear and Tear Items, predominantly to large van fleets.

Accountabilities:

To carry out routine maintenance on vehicles to prepare vehicles for the annual MOT inspection

To carry out Classes 3, 4 and 7 of MOT tests to a high standard.(training provided)

To complete the necessary recording of work undertaken on vehicles during inspection or whilst undergoing maintenance and repairs, both manually and electronically as technology advancement permits

Skills & Experience for the job:

Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle systems

The ability to carry out routine maintenance on fleet vehicles to a high standard

Ability to use power tools and hand tools effectively

Capable of lifting heavy objects as required

Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify faults or issues

Strong communication skills to interact with customers and explain test results

A willingness to train on EV vehicles would be required

The Person:

You’ll need:

NVQ3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent qualifications with appropriate experience

It’s essential that you have a full category B driving licence, with 6 points or less

Experience of working on light commercial vehicles

The ability to work as part os both an individual and a team

A willingness to learn, be trained on the Mercedes products, an interest in EV product would be advantageous
